In these sessions, students in grades 6-8 will get together to create DIY crafts and maker projects. Registration began in min-January. This session will focus on stop-motion animation; it will run from 4 to 5 p.m. Folks can register using the library's online calendar.
How-To Tuesday explore a different topic each month in a STEAM-based hands-on format. This program is part of Create@GreenwichLibrary, a series designed to foster creative and collaborative learning for all ages. Contact Siobhan Schugmann at 203-625-6536 for more information.

Middle School Book Club: Thursday, Feb. 25, at 4:30 p.m.
The book club is for literature fans in grades 6-8. This month’s book is "The Crossover," by Kwame Alexander. In this Newbery Medal Winner, 14-year-old twin basketball stars Josh and Jordan wrestle with highs and lows on and off the court as their father ignores his declining health. Register for the program and pick up a copy of the book at the second floor reference desk.
iOS Development using Swift: Saturdays, Feb. 27 through April 2, at 1-2:30 p.m.
Instructor Francesca Narea will teach basic programming skills using the Swift language. Students in grades 8-12 will work toward creating an iPhone app using Swift during the six-week course. Students will need to bring their own Macs. Online registration began Feb. 1 -- and is actually already full, though waitlisted people may get in if the are cancellations.
