The Department of Parks and Recreation will be presenting the 1970s dance band, Disco Inferno, from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Roger Sherman Baldwin Park. The rain date is Aug. 22.

Disco Inferno is the Northeast’s most authentic flashback to the 1970s dance band. The nine-piece group combines dance music from the disco/funk era with a fun interactive stage show that appeals to people of all ages. The band performs hits by Donna Summer, K.C & the Sunshine Band, The Pointer Sisters, The Village People, Earth Wind & Fire, Gloria Gaynor and many more.

Disco Inferno was founded in 2001. Throughout the years, the group has played Saratoga Raceway, Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun, the New York State Fair, The Rainbow Room at NBC and many other venues, sharing the stage with the Temptations, The Four Tops, Gloria Gaynor, The Pointer Sisters, Sha Na Na, Herman’s Hermit’s, and K.C and the Sunshine Band.
