Storms Could Produce Heavy Rain In Fairfield County

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Fairfield County will see another round of showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday, with the storms expected to move into the area in the late afternoon and evening.

Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain, according to the National Weather Service. Showers are expected to arrive after 2 p.m., with the thunderstorm chance coming after 4 p.m.

The chance of precipitation is 60 percent with new rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, with higher amounts possible depending on the severity of the thunderstorms.

It should be the pick of the day on Wednesday, with the forecast calling for a sunny day with a high temperature of about 79 degrees.
