Man Nabbed For Attempted Fairfield County Murder On Election Day
A Fairfield County man wanted since election day for attempting to gun down another man in broad daylight on a busy street has turned himself into police. Brandon Turner, age 26, of Stamford, was arrested Tuesday, Feb. 16, and charged with attempted murder in connection with the Tuesday, Nov. 3 in Stamford, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin. School Crossing Guard Struck By Vehicle In Fairfield County
A school crossing guard was hit by a car and briefly pinned while on duty. The incident took place in Stamford around noon Thursday when a patrol officer was flagged down on the report of a person being hit by a car on Stillwater Avenue and Virgil Street, said the Stamford Police. The officer responded to the scene and found an 83-year-old school crossing guard on the ground next to two vehicles. He was alert but in pain, they said. Teen Arrested For Brutal Stamford Beating, Robbery
A man wanted for a brutal beating and robbery was nabbed during a raid of a small apartment where he was hiding out, Stamford Police said. Damani Morales, 19, of Stamford was arrested for the March 10 armed robbery of a 39-year-old man on the corner of Stillwater Avenue and Virgil Street that landed the victim in the hospital with serious injuries, said Stamford Police Capt.
