Man Rapes Woman He Met On Dating Website, Police Say
A 25-year-old area man has been charged with choking and raping a woman he met online. Gimel Anderson of Bridgeport was charged Friday, Nov. 9 with aggravated sexual assault, strangulation, assault and unlawful restraint, according to the Connecticut Post. The attack was uncovered after police in Springfield, Massachusetts, were notified by hospital officials on Oct. 20 that an assault victim had come into the hospital for treatment of injuries she received while on an online date, said the Post.
