Drunk, Wrong-Way Driver Arrested on I-84 Ramp In Smoking SUV With Fentanyl Inside: Police
A Connecticut man whose blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit was stopped while driving the wrong way on an I-84 off-ramp over the weekend, authorities said.
Angel Sanabria, 44, of Hartford, was arrested and charged with multiple felonies and traffic violations after police stopped his SUV, which had heavy front-end damage with smoke billowing from the engine, and fluids leaking onto the road as if he'd been in a recent crash, Connecticut State Police said.

Connecticut State Police say a woman was also struck in a five-vehicle crash that killed a popular off-duty firefighter.
New Haven Firefighter Thomas Mieles, age 27, was driving north on I-91 when his car became disabled in the left lane around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
Mieles, of New Haven, who was outside of his car, died when he was hit by an SUV during the crash, said the Connecticut State Police.

Duo Nabbed For Trafficking Thousands Of Fentanyl Pills Into Connecticut, Feds Say
Two men are facing federal charges after they were allegedly busted selling thousands of fentanyl pills in Connecticut.
Oscar Flores, age 34, of Mount Rainier, Maryland, and Severo Alelar, age 25, of Hyattsville, Maryland, were indicted by a federal grand jury in Hartford Thursday, Sept. 22, for fentanyl trafficking.
The indictment came just weeks after the pair was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 8 following a sting operation in Wethersfield, the US Attorney’s Office in Connecticut said.

A nurse was robbed and assaulted in a parking lot as she was on her way to work.
The incident took. place around 6:15 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 11, in the parking area of Arden House at 850 Mix Avenue in Hamden, said Hamden Police Capt. Ronald Smith.
