According to its website, Barrett Bookstore has been a beloved part of Fairfield County since 1939, earning its reputation as the area's longest-standing independent bookstore.

Originally established in Stamford, it relocated several times before settling in Darien, per its website.

And as noted on its website, this 3,600 square foot store offers a thoughtfully curated selection of books for readers of all ages while fostering a strong connection with the local literary community.
