Man Nabbed For Four Gas Station Robberies, Fairfield Police Say
An Easton man was nabbed for four gas station robberies that took place over the past three months.
Conlin William Mellen, 24, was arrested Monday by Fairfield Police for four counts of robbery and four counts of larceny in connection with the four robberies, said Fairfield Police Lt. Robert Kalamaras.
Two of the robberies occurred at the Stratfield Mobil Station, 1271 Stratfield Road on March 26 and April 1 and two occurred at the Star Fuels, 350 Jennings Road on Feb. 11 and March 25, Kalamaras said.

Suspect On Loose After Knifepoint Fairfield Convenience Store Robbery
Fairfield police are asking for the public's help in identifying an armed robber who held up a convenience store at knifepoint.
The robbery took place around 6:30 p.m., Sunday, at the Star Fuels on Jennings Road near Black Top Turnpike, Fairfield Police said.
The man, who is described as being a white male, 6-foot, in his 20s or 30s, with long brown hair and cuts and scrapes on his hand, pulled out the knife and demanded cash, police said.
He was last seen fleeing on foot. No one was hurt during the robbery.
