Man Killed After Crashing Into Tree At Park In Stamford, Police Say An 80-year-old man was killed after crashing into a tree at a popular park in Fairfield County. 14-Year-Old Accused Of Igniting Car Fire In Fairfield County A 14-year-old boy has been apprehended for starting a car fire in Fairfield County with stolen fireworks. The fire took place in Stamford on Sunday, June 5, in the parking lot of 587 Elm St. According to Sgt. Sean Scanlan, of the Stamford Police, firefighters responded to the scene and found a 2008 Honda SUV on fire. After the fire was extinguished and investigators began looking into the cause of the blaze. ID Released For Man Killed When Car Crashes Into Seawall In Stamford A 71-year-old Stamford man has died after crashing into the seawall on Shippan Avenue. Luan Vrzizoli, of Fairfield Avenue, died Friday, May 3, following the crash around 11:08 a.m., Thursday, May 2, said Stamford police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad Sgt. Jeffrey Booth.
