The crash happened in Hartford County on Route 2 in Glastonbury at about 10:50 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18, Connecticut State Police reported. A 2018 Honda Accord EX-L was traveling east near Exit 12 when, for unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the car, and the Honda entered the grassy median and went up an embankment, police said. CT Woman Killed After Being Rear-Ended In Crash, State Police Say A Connecticut woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash after allegedly being rear-ended by another vehicle. Marie Mathieu, age 58, was killed around 5:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 4, in Hartford County on Route 2 in Glastonbury, said the Connecticut State Police. According to police, a Mercedes-Benz, driven by Mark Herbst, of Hartford, was traveling on Route 2 westbound, east of the Exit 9 on-ramp, when he rear-ended Mathieu's vehicle, located on the shoulder of Route 2 westbound, at the top of the Exit 9 on-ramp, state police said.
