CT Man Charged With Attempted Carjacking At Deli A 23-year-old Connecticut man is behind bars after allegedly attempting to carjack a motorist at a deli before the driver was saved by a Good Samaritan armed with a hammer. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24 at the Fulling Mills Deli on Prospect Street in Naugatuck.  Naugatuck Police said officers responded to the deli and found that the suspect, identified as Guy Guery of Naugaetuck, had attempted to steal a vehicle while the victim was inside before a Good Samaritan armed with a hammer intervened. Fairfield County Man Who Dumped 100 Tires In CT Town Charged One of two suspects wanted for allegedly dumping more than 100 tires in a Connecticut town last year has been charged by police. Fairfield County resident Lavon Spradley, age 22, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 26 for the Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, incident in New Haven County in Naugatuck. 26-Year-Old Dies In Single-Vehicle CT Crash A 26-year-old man died at the hospital after a single-vehicle crash in Connecticut. Police responded to a report of a serious motorcycle crash in New Haven County shortly before 2 a.m. on Sunday, April 3, according to the Naugatuck Police Department. Authorities said investigators found that John Johnson Jr. was riding his 2007 Harley-Davidson FLHR west on Prospect Street in Naugatuck when, for an unknown reason, he veered off the road and went down an embankment.
