Police in Connecticut are on the hunt for three men who allegedly robbed a smoke shop at gunpoint, making off with cash and goods. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 7 p.m., Saturday, June 29, at Moe's Smoke Shop at 213 Pershing Drive in Ansonia. According to Lt. Patrick Lynch of the Ansonia Police, an investigation revealed that a store clerk reported that a man approached the shop's door. Woman Fights Off Suspect: Fairfield County Man Who Allegedly Hid In Backseat Of Car Apprehended
A Fairfield County man who allegedly hid in the backseat of an Ansonia woman's car at a drug store to steal her purse was arrested by police after running away from the scene. The incident took place in New Haven County in Ansonia around 10:15 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 17. Ansonia Police officers patrolling Pershing Drive were flagged down by a woman who reported a man hid in the backseat of her car and then tried to steal her pocketbook, said Lt. Purse Thief Snatches Two From Vehicles Over Two Days In CT, Police Say
Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole two purses from vehicles within two days while the victims were present. The Ansonia Police Department said the two events took place on Saturday, Jan. 30 and Sunday, Jan. 31, at the Cumberland Farms on Pershing Drive and the other from the Stop & Shop on Division Street.
