Bomb Threats Received At 2 CT Businesses Within Hour Of Each Other
Bomb threats were received at two Connecticut businesses within an hour of each other. The incidents occurred in New Haven County on Monday, July 29, between 3:45 and 5 p.m. at Walmart and Stop & Shop in Naugatuck. According to Det. Shelby Johnson of the Naugatuck Police officers responded to the New Haven Road Walmart around 3:45 p.m. for a bomb threat received by phone by an employee. The caller said a bomb was located in the bathroom and was set to go off in two minutes. Police quickly evacuated the store and requested assistance from the State Police Bomb Squad, Johnson said. …

The American Red Cross is assisting two families in Connecticut after a fire tore through a multi-family home. In New Haven County, a fire broke out in Naugatuck inside an Andrew Avenue home shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, which required a heavy response from local departments. Firefighter Pulls Unconcious Person From Burning Car At Cemetery In Area
An off-duty fire department safety officer pulled an unconscious person from a burning car at a cemetery. The incident took place on Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Grove Cemetery in Naugatuck, said the Naugatuck Fire Department on Facebook. According to the department, firefighters responded to a reported car fire at Grove Cemetery. When they arrived on the scene, they found the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames after the fuel tank exploded and a small brush fire had erupted.
