New Haven County resident Solomon Roberts Sr., age 44, of Waterbury, died when stopped by Virginia State Police around 11 a.m., on Tuesday, March 7, said Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police. Victims Extracted From Separate Crashes Overnight In Fairfield County A fire department in Fairfield County performed two separate vehicle extractions overnight.  The first extrication in Norwalk occurred at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Wilson Avenue, in the Rowayton section of the city, just after 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6. Mother Accused Of Leaving Kids In Car While Shopping In Trumbull A 29-year-old mother has been arrested for allegedly leaving her two small children in an unlocked vehicle while she went shopping in Trumbull, said police. Yonneisha Reed of Bridgeport was arrested on Tuesday, April 16,  for leaving the children, ages 2 and 4, inside of a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander at the Hawley Lane Mall, said Trumbull Police Lt.
