Man Found Dead Floating In CT Lake Police are investigating after a man's body was found floating in a lake in Connecticut. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 11:15 a.m., Monday, April 15, at Lake Whitney in Hamden, near Hartford Turnpike and Rogers Road. According to Capt. Anthony Diaz of the Hamden Police officers responded to the scene and found the man, who was dead. Diaz said Hamden Fire Department personnel removed him from the water and took him to the Medical Examiner's Office. A preliminary investigation did not show any signs of trauma. Woman Found Dead By Workers In Stamford Pool Identified A Stamford woman found dead in her backyard pool by a group of painters who had come to paint the home has been identified. Christine Manna, 58, was found dead around 8:30 a.m., Friday, July 5, at her home located at 35 Woodley Road, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin. Detectives believe there was no foul play, but are waiting for results from the Medical Examiner's Office for confirmation. New Canaan Resident ID'd As Man Found Dead At Metro-North Station In Springdale A man whose body was found under the Springdale train station platform in Stamford has been identified as a New Canaan resident. Stephen Sugrue, 65, was found under the platform late Saturday afternoon, Dec. 29, according to Metro-North officials. The cause of death is pending results the Medical Examiner's Office. MTA police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. Sugrue's death was the second death of a New Canaan resident near the tracks. John Hickey, 50, was killed on Dec. 13, 2018, by a train between the Darien and Noroton Heights stations.
