Stratford is in shock after Marnicks and the Rodeway Inn, both beachside staples, abruptly closed its doors without warning after being sold by its owner.
Marnicks, which has been a popular motel and restaurant destination at the Stratford Sea Wall for more than six decades, officially closed over the weekend, as the owner reportedly sold the location to an undisclosed buyer. The sale was expected to be finalized this week.
