21-Year-Old CT Resident Killed In Maine Crash A 21-year-old Connecticut man was killed in a crash in Maine. Hartford County resident Zachary Swain, of Southington and Marlborough, New Hampshire, died around 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 3, on the Maine Turnpike. According to Shannon Moss, spokeswoman for the Maine State Police, troopers responded to the area of mile marker 32 southbound on the Maine Turnpike for a motorcycle crash.  An initial investigation shows that Swain was exiting the highway and failed to negotiate the curved southbound off-ramp, Moss said.
