Boy, 12, Seriously Injured After Crashing Stolen Kia In Bridgeport, Police Say A 12-year-old boy who was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle in Fairfield County when it crashed into a pole is in serious condition. The collision took place in Bridgeport around 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 12 in the area of Railroad Avenue and Hancock Avenue. According to Sgt. Darryl Wilson of the Bridgeport Police, the 911 Center received several calls regarding a sport utility vehicle that had struck a pole. Callers were uncertain if any occupants were still in the SUV. Man Faces Charges After Fairfield, Bridgeport Police Chase A 40-year-old area man was nabbed by Fairfield Police following a pursuit that started with a routine traffic stop. The incident took place Friday evening when Officer Kevin Wells was conducting motor vehicle enforcement on Commerce Drive and stopped a vehicle after a warrant check revealed an active warrant for the registered owner's arrest, said Fairfield Lt.
