Fairfield County Man Wanted For Stabbing Death Extradited, Police Say A 32-year-old Fairfield County man facing a murder charge for the 2021 stabbing death of a man found dead in a car was extradited some four months after his arrest. Donald Copeland, age 32, of Bridgeport, was transported to Stamford on Monday, June 27, to face charges in the stabbing death of a Norwalk man. Copeland was initially arrested in Poughkeepsie, New York, by the US Marshall during a raid on a home on Friday, Feb. 18, said Lt. Thomas Scanlon, of the Stamford Police. Police ID Man Found Stabbed To Death In Vehicle In Fairfield County Police have identified a man who was stabbed to death inside a vehicle in Fairfield County with multiple stab wounds. Fairfield County resident Jimmy Louis, age 43, was found inside the vehicle around 1 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19 on Hamilton Avenue in Stamford, authorities said. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who had multiple stab wounds to his upper body, said Lt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police. Police Investigating Fatal Stabbing In Fairfield County, Police Say Area police are investigating a fatal stabbing that has been ruled a homicide. The incident took place in Fairfield County around 1:10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 18, in the Glenwood section of Stamford. Investigators have identified two crime scenes, one on Culloden Road and the other on Hamilton Avenue, said Stamford PD Lt. Tom Scanlon. The victim, a man, has not been identified pending identification of next of kin. “More information will be released as the investigation progresses,” said Scanlon. This is a developing story.
