Significant Power Outage Causes UConn To Cancel Classes At Storrs Campus A “significant” power outage led to the cancellation of some classes at the University of Connecticut. Early classes at the UConn Storrs campus were canceled on Monday, March 21 because of a power outage, school officials announced due to the outage. UConn said the cause of the power outage isn’t yet known, but the university decided to cancel Storrs-based classes before noon because many of its academic and residential buildings are affected.
