The latest chicken dumping incident took place around 11:30 p.m., Friday, April 12, when the victim reported an illegal dumping complaint on Franklin Street, said the Westport Police. Box With Headless Chicken Inside Keeps Appearing In Westport Yard Westport police are asking the public for help in identifying a person who keeps leaving a box containing a headless chicken in the yard of an area home. According to Westport Police Lt. Jullian Cabana, it's happened a couple of times and the residents have no idea why someone would leave a headless chicken in their Franklin Street yard. In a video posted on Facebook, the individual, who appears to be a woman, is seen leaving the box and calmly continues walking southbound on Franklin Street towards the Westport Train Station.  Anyone with information…

Westport To Close Saugatuck Railroad Parking Lot 5 For Construction WESTPORT, Conn. — Starting on Tuesday, Jan. 2, the Saugatuck Railroad Lot 5 Permit Parking will be closed for construction until March. Westport Railroad Operations has opened 11 temporary permit parking spaces east of Railroad Place in the two-hour parking area.  For alternate parking, commuters can use Lot 7 off of Franklin Street during this closure period.  For more information about railroad parking, click here or call 203-341-6052.
