The incident happened on Saturday morning, Feb. 1 at Dolphin’s Cove Marina in Bridgeport, authorities said.
The vehicle, which was unoccupied, was found approximately 75 feet from the Public Boat ramp wedged under a boat dock.
According to Scott Appleby, Bridgeport’s director of the Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security, an Ice Rescue Thermal imaging camera through the two top roof sunroofs, which were broken out, determined the SUV did not have any occupants.
The Bridgeport Police scuba team responded and the scene was turned over to Bridgeport Police.
The investigation is ongoing.
