“I’m going to jail, babe,” Trevor Yuri Dixon, of 194 Henry St., told his girlfriend over the phone as officers approached the car, police said. He had been traveling north on Black Rock Turnpike without the proper front license plate when stopped, police said.
Upon searching Dixon’s vehicle, police said they found several tools commonly used for breaking into cars, such as an LED flashlight, a Leatherman tool, a window punch and a screwdriver.
Dixon was arrested and charged with possessing burglary tools. operating a motor vehicle under suspension, operating an unregistered vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without the proper insurance, and failure to display a front license plate.
Dixon was also charged with second-degree failure to appear on an active warrant, police said.
Dixon posted $2,500 bond for the failure to appear charge and $5,000 bond for charges related to the motor vehicle stop Monday. His court date is July 20, police said.
