The break-in occurred at a home on Berkeley Road at about 3 a.m. Monday, Sept. 1, police said. They are seeking help from the public in identifying the suspect.
The woman reported a man entered her home and assaulted her before fleeing, police said. She described her attacker as a short, stocky man in his 20s, police said. He was between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-6 with dark spiky hair, and light-colored eyes, police said. She believed he had some facial acne, and spoke with a Spanish accent, police said.
The victim did not see or hear a vehicle leave the scene, police said.
Berkeley Road is located in the southeast section of town near Tunxis Hill Park.
Anyone who can identify the subject from the sketch or has additional information about the case is asked to contact the Detective Bureau at 203-254-4840. Anonymous Text a Tips can be sent to police at 274637.
"No information, however seemingly insignificant it may seem, should be overlooked," police said in a statement.
No further information was provided by police on the case.
