While driving down the Post Road, Balthazar Feliciano, 30, of Bridgeport, turned his car around in the middle of the road after passing a marked patrol car, police said.
Officer Michael Paris stopped the car and saw a green leafy substance on the driver's door handle, which tested positive for marijuana, police said.
Feliciano was ordered out of the car and Paris searched it, police said. In the trunk, the officer found a black plastic bag with several bottles of steroids and 43 white pills in pill bottle marked with another person’s name, which were later identified as anabolic steroids, police said. Several unidentified clear capsules and unopened syringes were also found in the trunk, police said.
The car was towed, and Feliciano was taken into custody.
He was charged with operating an unregistered vehicle, misuse of plates, failure to keep drugs in their original container, use and possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal sale of prescription drugs, possession of a controlled substance and driving with no insurance. He was released on a written promise to appear and given a court date of Nov. 25.
