CT Duo Charged With Shooting Woman Last Year, Police Say

A Connecticut man and woman have been arrested for allegedly shooting a woman and seriously wounding her.

Michelle Muniz, age 41, and Leviticus Morey, age 46, both of Milford, were arrested on Wednesday, March 10 for the shooting incident which took place on Monday, August 3 in Milford.

According to Milford Police, on August 3, officers responded to 267 Melba Street after a 911 call for an unknown problem. 

Upon arrival, police found a female suffering a gunshot wound. The female sustained a serious injury and was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital. 

Milford Police detectives responded and conducted a lengthy investigation that led to arrest warrants being issued for Muniz and Morey, police said.

Muniz was charged with unlawful discharge of a weapon and reckless endangerment.

Morey was charged with negligent storage of a firearm and tampering with evidence.

Both Muniz and Morey were released on a promise to appear ticket.
