Kathleen Homa, 66, Fairfield Resident

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Kathleen "Cathee" Homa, of Fairfield, died suddenly Monday, Jan. 25. She was 66.

She was born to Alexander and Amelia Homa and was a lifelong Fairfield resident. She was a mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter, sister and friend. She enjoyed taking road trips to see the Red Sox, spending time outdoors and had a great love of animals. She was employed as an administrative assistant at Chessco Industries Inc. in Westport.

She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Grywalski, and her husband, Micah Heftman, of Norwalk; grandson, Coen; two brothers, Joseph Homa, and his wife, Laura, of Bethel and Richard Homa and his wife, Deborah, of Suffolk, Va.; three sisters, Theresa Simko and her husband, Robert, of Indian Land, S.C., Patricia Donaldson and her husband, John, and Elizabeth Homa, all of Carrollton, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may greet family Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, Fairfield Center. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 455 Post Road E., Westport, CT 06880.
