Woman Charged With Threatening

A Congress Street resident wanted police to do something about the noise in her neighborhood. They were happy to oblige -- by arresting her. Susan Mulligan, 55, called Fairfield police repeatedly early Thursday morning complaining about the construction crews working on the Merritt Parkway near her home. After she made multiple threats to “kill them all,” she was arrested for threatening.

Mulligan first called the cops at 12:39 a.m. to complain. She mentioned to the 911 operator that she would “kill everybody out there” if the noise did not stop. But she denied making such claims when police arrived at her home.

The woman called police again at 2:36 a.m., making the same statements. Again, when police came she denied making threats. Eventually, however, she changed her story.

“You’re damn right I [threatened them],” Mulligan told the officer. “They’re driving me nuts. I’m going to kill them all.”

Mulligan had a similar run-in with the police for the same issue on Nov. 20. On Thursday, they arrested Mulligan for two counts of threatening. She was released on a promise to appear in court Dec. 14.

? A Bridgeport woman turned herself in to Fairfield police Wednesday. She was wanted on an arrest warrant for allegedly slapping her former roommate last month at Fairfield University, where the victim was employed.

On Nov. 22, Elsa Sanchez, 47, stormed into the cafeteria at the Barone Campus Center to confront the 44-year-old woman. Holding an eviction notice issued by the victim, Sanchez began arguing with the woman. According to witnesses, she slapped her former roommate and attempted to force her into the bathroom before the victim ran away and yelled for someone to call police.

Fairfield police charged Sanchez with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and two counts of threatening. She was released on a promise to appear in court Dec. 2.
