Strong Storms Push Their Way Into Fairfield

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Showers and potential thunderstorms will threaten the afternoon commute in Fairfield County on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Mostly cloudy skies will prevail on Monday with wet weather moving into the area after 1 p.m. Chance of rain is 50 percent, the National Weather Service said. 

Showers and thunderstorms could remain on Tuesday with a high of 80. Chance of rain is around 30 percent. 

Sun will return on Wednesday before showers return on Thursday.
