The Connecticut Department of Transportation began milling and paving Route 135 on Thursday. The project will replace the asphalt on the state road, which covers North Benson Road between the Post Road and Stillson Road, and Stillson Road to Black Rock Turnpike. Work on the 2.58-mile stretch of road is expected to last until at least July 26.
Lanes of the road will be closed between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, until the project is complete. Traffic control crews will be on site to direct traffic.
