Reminder: Road Work Underway On Fairfield's Route 135

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Reminder to all Fairfield drivers: Portions of North Benson Road and Stillson Road in Fairfield will be closed or delayed on weekdays for the rest of the month for a repaving project.

Construction crews have started work to replace the pavement on Stillson Road in Fairfield. The project will extend through North Benson Road, and will last until the end of the month.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation began milling and paving Route 135 on Thursday. The project will replace the asphalt on the state road, which covers North Benson Road between the Post Road and Stillson Road, and Stillson Road to Black Rock Turnpike. Work on the 2.58-mile stretch of road is expected to last until at least July 26.

Lanes of the road will be closed between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, until the project is complete. Traffic control crews will be on site to direct traffic.
