'Pollen Tsunami' Slams Allergy Sufferers In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – A “pollen tsunami” is causing people throughout Fairfield County and other parts of the Northeastern United States to suffer more allergy symptoms than usual, according to NBC News.

People in major cities such as New York also are not immune to the unusually high amounts of pollen caused by grass and trees, NBC News reported.

Not all plants are bad for allergy sufferers; the indoor plants English ivy and bamboo palm are recommended for “air-cleaning” homes and offices, according to NBC News.
