FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – The engineer of the Amtrak train involved in a deadly crash in Philadelphia was operating the locomotive at 106 mph, according to ABC 7.

Brandon Bostian, 32, survived Tuesday’s derailment with a concussion and a few other injuries and his attorney says he does not remember the moments leading up to the crash, ABC 7 reported.

Eight people died and 200 were injured, according to ABC 7.

Bostian, a Tennessee native, apparently has returned to his residence in Queens, ABC 7 reported.
