Southport's Pequot Library Brings Author Talk On Worldwide Golf Adventures

SOUTHPORT, Conn. -- Come hear award-winning journalist John Steinbreder discuss his book, "From Turnberry to Tasmania: Adventures of a Traveling Golfer," on Wednesday, March 30, at Pequot Library, in Southport.

This program is free and open to everyone. There will be a 30-40 minute author talk, followed by a Q&A session, book sales, signing and refreshments. For adults, refreshments include fine cigars, rolled by Davidoff, and aged scotch, poured by Diageo.

Steinbreder, a Redding resident, will share the inside scoop on Augusta and the Masters. Steinbreder is also a senior writer for "Global Golf Post," the weekly digital golf magazine, as well as the author of 19 books, including "Club Life," "Golf Kohler: In the New and Old Worlds," "The 3-Degree Putting Solution," "Golf Rules & Etiquette for Dummies," and "Golf Courses of the U.S. Open." He is a former reporter for "Fortune" magazine, a one-time writer/reporter for "Sports Illustrated" and a past senior writer for "Golfweek."

Sponsors of the talk are Davidoff and Diageo. The event is to help kick off the excitement for Pequot Library's 11th Annual Pequot Golf Classic, which will be held on May 31. Hearing about Steinbreder's golf adventures will be sure to entice all golfers and golf lovers.

The event will run from 7-9 p.m.
