“I encourage members of our community to come be part of this fun-filled event, which includes live musical entertainment at various venues within the downtown, special menu offerings at our many fine participating restaurants, and activities for children and families,” Fairfield First Selectman Michael Tetreau said.

Sherman Green will have activities for children and families including a dunk tank sponsored by Letarte Swimwear and the Ludlowe Girls Swim Team and a slap shot hockey contest offered by the Fairfield Ice Academy. The Bank of Fairfield will be offering a raffle drawing every half-hour with the winner having 30 seconds to grab as much cash as possible in the “Money Machine.” The equivalent of the money collected will be put into a Bank of Fairfield Savings account, with a minimum of $25 and maximum of $50.

Musicians will be playing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Brick Walk, Sherman Green, near the Fairfield University Bookstore, on Donnelly’s Walk and in front of the Community Theater.

Students and instructors from Kempo Academy will be providing a demonstration of traditional form work, martial arts skills and techniques such as blocking, punching and kicking at the Brick Walk at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

There will be several participating restaurants downtown including Centro’s, Café Madeline, Chef’s Table, Old Post Tavern, The Brasserie and The Chelsea.
