During the busiest days of the 55th Annual Summer Book Sale, four local food trucks will help feed the masses of bibliophiles and treasure-seekers at the library, 720 Pequot Ave., according to a press release.
From Friday through Sunday, the Bodega Taco Truck (modern Mexican food with an urban beach vibe) will be parked on Pequot Library’s Great Lawn from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. For dessert, Paula’s Ice Cream Truck (it’s not just ice cream) will be there Friday and Saturday from 3-5 p.m. Shake Shack will pass out free custard from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday, Phil & Tom Ice Cream Truck (The Good Humor Men of Westport) will be on the Great Lawn from 3-5 p.m..
The food vendors will donate a portion of their profits back to Pequot Library.
Pequot Library’s 55th Annual Summer Book Sale offers more than 120,000 books, 10,000 CDs, DVDs, records and more. All proceeds from the sale help support library services and 500 yearly events and programs for all ages at the Pequot Library.
Pequot Library’s Summer Book Sale hours and pricing for the five-day sale are:
July 24: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; prices are double the marked price.
July 25: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; all items priced as marked.
July 26: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; priced as marked.
July 27: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; half the marked price.
July 28: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; $5 per bag day.
