The evening will feature an open bar, appetizers and sit-down dinner created by Patterson Club executive chef George Flay, live music, dancing, and a live auction and raffle. Proceeds from the gala will benefit the Junior League and its mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community, including its "Healthy Families, Healthy Futures" community projects.
Community partners include Center for Family Justice, Bridgeport YMCA, the Norma Pfriem Urban Outreach Initiative, Thomas Hooker School, Mercy Learning Center and Operation Hope.
Some of the League's past projects are parts of organizations that still continue to thrive in the community today. The JLEFC was involved in the formation of the Discovery Museum, the Beardsley Zoo and the School Volunteer Association, among others.
"The Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County is proud to be the very first Junior League in the state of Connecticut and equally proud of the contributions we have made over the past 95 years," said President Samantha Collin. "We look forward to a night of celebration and to another 95 years of helping make our community a more vital place."
The black-tie-optional event will run from 6:30-10:30 p.m., at the Patterson Club, in Fairfield.Advanced tickets are required. Register here. For more information, contact Samantha Collin at 203-921-9223 or samanthacollin@yahoo.com.
