Stamford Man Killed At Work After Heavy Machinery Crashes Into Him
Police in Fairfield County and federal authorities are investigating the death of a 64-year-old worker at a business Wednesday morning, Oct. 30, after a piece of heavy machinery hit him, authorities said. The Stamford victim, who police did not name, was assisting a customer at the business around 8:15 a.m. when a 28-year-old Stamford front-end loader driver slammed into him, authorities said. An employer is facing multiple charges after police say he assaulted and threatened a worker who refused to work in unsafe conditions. Wilton Police received a complaint of an assault that occurred Wednesday, Dec. 5. The victim alleged that he was working for his employer at a residence in Wilton.
