Grinding Noise Leads To Catalytic Converter Theft Arrest In Fairfield County
Two men were busted for allegedly stealing catalytic converters after a witness heard grinding noises coming from a garage in Fairfield County. The two men were arrested around 2 a.m., Wednesday, March 23 in Norwalk. According to Norwalk Police, a witness doing overnight work at a business on Water Street heard grinding noise coming from a nearby parking lot. The witness investigated the noise and spotted one man keeping watch while another man, underneath a vehicle, was using what the witness believed was, a reciprocating saw, said Sgt. Pair Of Structure Fires Under Investigation In Fairfield County
A pair of suspicious fires that broke out in Fairfield County buildings within hours of each other are under investigation, authorities announced. In Norwalk, shortly after 10 p.m. on Monday, March 14, first responders were dispatched to a vacant commercial building on West Avenue that left debris destroyed and was possibly set by vagrants, according to Norwalk Deputy Fire Chief Steve Shay. Bridgeport Man Charged With Violating Protective Order In South Norwalk
A 36-year-old Fairfield County man was nabbed by police for violating a protective order after he was caught in the company of the person who had the order against him. Juan Rodriguez of Bridgeport was arrested around 2:30 a.m. Friday when a Norwalk police officer patrolling Water Street at Burritt Avenue observed three people engaged in suspicous activity, said Norwalk Police Lt.
