This week's stormy stretch of weather is about to come to an end, but not before a system with strong to severe thunderstorms and soaking rain will bring about a big change in the weather pattern. Thursday, June 20 started out with dense fog, limiting visibility to a quarter-mile or less at times during the morning commute. It will dissipate at around 9 a.m. on a cloudy day with the high temperature in the mid 70s. Projected Snowfall Totals Increase As Fourth Nor'easter Nears
Following what was a relentless winter, in a cruel twist, the first full day of spring will bring as much as a foot or more of snow to the tristate area as the fourth Nor'easter of the month moves through the region on Wednesday. Winter Weather Advisory For Northern Fairfield County As Snow Approaches
FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A winter weather advisory is in effect for northern Fairfield County until Wednesday afternoon, with 2 to 6 inches of snow expected to hit the area overnight, according to the National Weather Service. The advisory is in effect from midnight to 1 p.m. Wednesday. Total snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches is expected to hit the northern part of the county, with localized amounts of up to 6 inches possible.
