Police in Fairfield County are reminding residents to lock their vehicles after a series of thefts from unlocked vehicles. According to the New Canaan Police Department, on Saturday, July 3, at about 7:15 a.m., officers responded to Hawks Hill Road to two reports of items missing from vehicles left unlocked. A Fairfield County homeowner is facing charges after hosting minors at his home who were caught drinking, police said. Officers from the New Canaan Police Department responded to a Valley Road home near the intersection of Mariomi Road at 10:42 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, where there was a report of a possible party with loud music playing. A 31-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly deliberately hitting a woman who was walking with his vehicle during a kidnapping attempt and then trying to drown her in New Canaan, police said. Range Rovers Stolen In New Canaan Both Recovered In New Jersey
Two Range Rovers stolen from driveways in New Canaan have been recovered in two different New Jersey cities. According to New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski, both were stolen on Thursday, April 13, from driveways on Valley Road. Both stolen vehicles were unlocked and the keys were inside of each vehicle. These vehicle thefts occurred during the early morning hours, he said. Two Range Rovers Stolen In New Canaan
New Canaan Police have a simple message for residents. If you leave your keys in your car and don't lock it, chances are you'll be looking for a new one. Police reported that two Range Rovers were stolen on Valley Road Thursday. In both cases, keys were left in the cars with both cars unlocked.
