Owner Nabbed For $40M Trademark Counterfeiting At NY Boutique, Police Say A New York woman has been charged with trademark counterfeiting after tens of millions of dollars in fake labels for such high-end brands as Gucci and Prada were allegedly found at her boutique. The combined value of the items was over $40,000,000, police said. Darien Police Alert Residents After Recent Mail Theft Reports Police in a Fairfield County town have issued an alert after a number of residents reported that their outgoing mail was stolen and checks were cashed. The Darien Police Department reported on Thursday, Nov. 18, that some residents have also reported that their stolen checks were altered to larger amounts, and money was withdrawn from their bank accounts.
