A stolen vehicle slammed into a police cruiser during a chase in Westchester County. On Wednesday, Oct. 26, around 12:15 a.m., police in Rye responded to a reported stolen vehicle in the area of Forest Avenue and Playland Parkway, according to authorities. When City of Rye PD officers attempted to pull the stolen car over, the driver sped away and police started to chase the vehicle, authorities said. Four Vehicles Stolen, One House Burglarized In Fairfield County
Four vehicles were stolen and a home burglarized in Fairfield County overnight. The first incident was reported around 6 a.m., Friday, Aug. 20 when officers responded to a home in Westport in the Compo Beach area of town. An investigation found one or more suspects entered the unlocked home and stole a purse as well as the key fobs for two separate vehicles. One Vehicle Stolen, Multiple Entered In Latest Incidents In New Canaan
An Infinity was stolen from the driveway of a New Canaan driveway, and several other vehicles were entered overnight as residents continue leaving their vehicles unlocked. A Summit Ridge Road resident reported at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 11 that a 2017 Infinity QX60 was stolen after it was unlocked with the key left inside. The vehicle still has not been recovered.
