Fatal Crash: 74-Year-Old ID'd As Victim After 2 Vehicles Collide On CT Roadway A 74-year-old Connecticut man was killed after his vehicle was hit by a pickup truck. New Haven County resident Michael Arthur Miller, of East Haven, died around 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, in Oxford. According to the Connecticut State Police, Miller was riding his Harley-Davidson FLHT Classic eastbound on Silano Drive when he entered the Route 188 intersection and was hit by a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck traveling southbound. CT Man, 21, Killed After Hitting Concrete Sign Support, State Police Say A 21-year-old Connecticut man was killed after hitting a concrete sign support. The crash occurred in Hartford County at 3:15 p.m., Tuesday, March 4 on Route 9 in New Britain. According to the Connecticut State Police, New Haven resident Anthony Montminy, age 21, was traveling south of exit 37 in an Infiniti Q50 in the center lane of three when for an unknown reason, he veered across the left lane, into the left shoulder and entered the grassy median.  The Infiniti then collided with a concrete sign support and came to a final rest within the grassy median, police said. Fatal Crash: 37-Year-Old ID'd As Victim At Route 7 Connector In Norwalk One person was killed in a crash at a busy intersection in Fairfield County. It happened around 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at Grist Mill Road and the Route 7 connector in Norwalk. After being sent to the scene, emergency responders found a vehicle in the embankment, according to Norwalk Police. The operator of the vehicle, identified as New Haven County resident Joshua Chapman, age 37, of Naugatuck, was extricated and pronounced dead by Norwalk Hospital Emergency Medical Services. ID Released For Pedestrian Killed While Retrieving Cell Phone On I-95 A man who was struck and killed on I-95 while he retrieved his cell phone from the median has been identified. Hoa Ngo, 34, of Sacramento, Calif., was killed around 2:30 a.m. Monday on I-95 northbound just north of Exit 41 in Orange, said Sgt. Eric J Haglund with the Connecticut State Police. An initial investigation into the incident revealed that prior to the accident, Ngo was traveling with three adult friend in their pick-up truck towing a boat trailer when he accidentally dropped the phone out of an open window, Haglund said. Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Merritt Parkway A 50-year-old pedestrian was killed Friday night after being hit by a vehicle on the Merritt Parkway, state police announced Saturday morning. Mark Benardi of New Haven was walking on the right shoulder on the southbound side in the area of Exit 61 in Hamden when he was struck by 58-year-old Robert O'Connor of the Town of Fairfield at around 11:20 p.m. Troopers found Benardi in the median and the vehicle in the right shoulder when they arrived at the scene.
