Lexus SUV Drives Across Grassy Areas, Over Tree Stumps At Park In Darien Police are investigating an incident involving an erratic driver who allegedly drove through a popular park in Darien in a luxury SUV. The Darien Police Department received a report at approximately 11 p.m. on Nov. 5, of an erratic driver who entered Tilley Pond Park and drove through the grass, leaving several spots of damage. Police said that when officers arrived at the park, the vehicle had already left, prompting an investigation. Darien Tree Conservancy Celebrates Milestone, Welcomes New Board Members DARIEN, Conn. --  Tree Conservancy of Darien celebrated the significant milestone of installing over 600 trees in town at its year-end board of directors meeting on Dec. 5. In addition to reviewing agenda and budget items for the coming year, the local nonprofit also welcomed two new members to its board. Since its inception in 2010, TCD has planted trees at I-95 exits 11 and 13, the Darien train station, along Ledge Road, Darien town beaches, Spring Grove and Veterans cemeteries and Town Hall.
