Man Struck By Car In Bridgeport Seriously Injured, Police Say A man struck by a car while walking along a Fairfield County roadway was seriously injured. The crash occurred in Bridgeport around 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 9 at the intersection of Beechmont Avenue and Springdale Street. According to Capt. Lonnie Blackwell of the Bridgeport Police, the unidentified man was struck by a 2011 gray Nissan Altima traveling southbound on Beechmont Avenue. "The victim was in the roadway walking southbound on Beechmont Avenue," Blackwell said.  The victim was transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, for serious injuries sustained at the scene…

24-Year-Old Dies After Hit-Run Bridgeport Crash A 24-year-old man was killed when he was struck in Fairfield County by a hit-and-run driver, police said. The victim was struck around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, near the intersection of Waterview Avenue and Crescent Avenue. Capt. Lonnie Blackwell of the Bridgeport Police said Enamorado was riding a motorized bicycle when he was struck near the intersection by a vehicle that fled the area. "The striking vehicle fled the scene and did not remain to render any appropriate aid to the victim," Blackwell said.
