Man Struck By Car In Bridgeport Seriously Injured, Police Say
A man struck by a car while walking along a Fairfield County roadway was seriously injured. The crash occurred in Bridgeport around 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 9 at the intersection of Beechmont Avenue and Springdale Street. According to Capt. Lonnie Blackwell of the Bridgeport Police, the unidentified man was struck by a 2011 gray Nissan Altima traveling southbound on Beechmont Avenue. "The victim was in the roadway walking southbound on Beechmont Avenue," Blackwell said.
