DUI Arrest: Man Drove 2 Times Above Legal Limit In Darien, Police Say A man was arrested in Fairfield County after police said he was driving while intoxicated and without proper headlights. The Fairfield County incident happened on Wednesday, Aug. 23 in Darien, according to Darien Police. Just before 1:30 a.m. on that day, officers reported seeing a car, operated by 58-year-old Louisiana resident Daniel Pomroy, driving west on Post Road near Sedgwick Avenue with one headlight burnt out. Officers from the Darien Police Department received a report shortly after 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10, where there was a report of a vehicle that had been stolen from a Sedgwick Avenue home.
