Here's How Many Crashes Have Been Reported On CT Roadways During July 4th Holiday Over the two-day Fourth of July time period so far, Connecticut State Police say troopers have responded to a total of 79 motor vehicle crashes, with one serious injury. Since the holiday enforcement got underway on Wednesday, July 3, at 7 p.m., state police responded to 2,642 calls for service, including the 79 for crashes, which, fortunately, none resulted in fatalities.
