NYC Rents Soar To Three-Year High
With New Yorkers leaving the state in record numbers, rent prices continue to rise in New York City, reaching a three-year peak. The average rent for a one bedroom apartment in New York is up to $2,980, according to a new report by Zumper. The number represents a 4.2 percent increase from June a year ago and prices have reached a three-year high. Connecticut City Cited For Widening Wealth Gap In Bloomberg Report
The "super rich" are getting richer and the middle class are poorer in Bridgeport, according to a national study of the widening wealth gap. The Bloomberg news ranking found the change in the gap between the super rich to middle class widened in 98 of 100 U.S. metropolitan areas, led by Bridgeport. The gap narrowed in Ogden, Utah and Colorado Springs, Colo., Bloomberg reported here.
