Stamford Woman Charged With DUI After Traffic Stop In Wilton A woman from Stamford has been charged with DUI after a traffic stop in Wilton, police say. Wilton Police initiated a traffic stop on a 2009 Mazda after observing the driver run a red light on Thursday, Nov. 21 around 6:45 a.m. When speaking with the driver, identified as Samantha Bonkowski, 28, of Stamford, police say she showed signs of impairment. Bonkowski was subsequently asked to participate in a series of field sobriety tests, which police say she did not pass.
